Tavia Yeung was approached by new TV station
Yesterday Tavia Yeung attended an event and was asked about the TVB poaching issue. She said: "I received a call from Ricky Wong, but we didn't discuss any further. TVB and I still have a long contract. I don't mind meeting with Ricky, just getting to know another friend. However, TVB treats me well, I know my blessings and will be grateful of them." Asked if Ricky gave better benefits and lets her be the Big Sister, will she be touched and jump over? Tavia laughed: "I am also a TVB Big Sister. A good pay does not mean a good character. Of course I do hope to have pay raises every year, but I am part of the future TVB grand productions too." As for the senior scriptwriters jumping over to the other TV station, Tavia felt it's a good thing that there are newcomers joining the company, the scripts are dead, therefore it is necessary for artists to make them come alive.
Frankie Lam said yesterday that TVB is stingy, but Moses Chan does not agree: "TVB treats me very well. I support strengthening the resources for series production. It is good for the viewers and what TVB provides is already an improvement compared to the past." As for the new competitors, Moses is worried for TVB as well, but it's a new start. Asked if he's worried about impacting the high quality scripts? Moses said: "We cannot ignore the work abilities of newcomers, the best would be continuous positive effects along with efforts from the new scriptwriters.
